I SURE am GLAD we did not GIVE UP OUR SOVEREIGNTY for NONEXISTENT GLOBAL WARMING!

I found two nifty articles this weekend, one in the Australian and the other courtesy of Power Line (from the UK Economist), both discussing the increasing statistical problem with so-called climate change models.

I just love this title:

Twenty-year hiatus in rising temperatures has climate scientists puzzled

So I decided to read further:  I found a couple useful highlights:

In a lengthy article this week, The Economist magazine said if climate scientists were credit-rating agencies, then climate sensitivity – the way climate reacts to changes in carbon-dioxide levels – would be on negative watch but not yet downgraded.

Another paper published by leading climate scientist James Hansen, the head of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, says the lower than expected temperature rise between 2000 and the present could be explained by increased emissions from burning coal.

Burning coal prevents global warming?  Let’s put Western Virginia and West Virginia to work!  James Hansen is a leading climate change disciple.  This is like Paul Krugman adopting Austrian Economics!  Well, to be fair, Hansen has not become a global warming denier as he would put it.  But he is concerned.  Certainly the leaders of ICLEI, the cottage industry of c;limate change folks, left-wing authoritarians like Mayor Bloomberg, and those who sought to ride global warming to world government and the destruction of our Constitution and sovereignty ought to be concerned.  If this is right, their racket is about to be exposed!  You’ll love this quote:

“If we have not passed it already, we are on the threshold of global observations becoming incompatible with the consensus theory of climate change,” he says.

Whitehouse argues that whatever has happened to make temperatures remain constant requires an explanation because the pause in temperature rise has occurred despite a sharp increase in global carbon emissions.

I strongly suspect that many climate advocates believe in global warming in spite of the facts.  Here’s evidence:

The Economist says the world has added roughly 100 billion tonnes of carbon to the atmosphere between 2000 and 2010, about one-quarter of all the carbon dioxide put there by humans since 1750. This mismatch between rising greenhouse gas emissions and not-rising temperatures is among the biggest puzzles in climate science just now, The Economist article says.

“But it does not mean global warming is a delusion.”

What the Economist says is intriguing.  Here is the Power Line take (BTW, Power Line is a great blog and I need to read it more often.  You should too.) on it and I trust Power Line implicitly:

That this appears in The Economist is significant, because this august British news organ has been fully on board with climate alarmism for years now.  A Washington-based Economist correspondent admitted to me privately several years ago that the senior editors in London had mandated consistent and regular alarmist climate coverage in its pages.

So the Economist has been forced to admit that there is evidence opposing extreme climate change.  This contends what I say:  Climate change is being used to set up world government:

The Economist goes on to provide a brief tour of new research that argues for a lower climate sensitivity, with upper bounds that would still present difficulties, but short of the blood-and-Gore catastrophe that has been the staple of the climate campaign from the beginning.  As usual, we see an environmental phenomenon that the environmental Politburo overestimates, and which always demands that we surrender more political power into their hands as the solution.

Well, I was not the heckler who shouted NEVER! at the 2000 Reform Party convention when Pat Buchanan cited Walter Cronkite’s advice for Americans to give up their sovereignty but he stated my thoughts well.  Time to update our local officials still in the thrall of ICLEI and the Agenda 21 crowd.  We can win for the moment.  Revelation is clear:  We will have some sort of world government or world economic union that will persecute the Christians and make all carry the Mark of the Beast.  But that is a one way trip to Hell:

“And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.  Revelation 14: 11 (KJV)

That ought to make all of us pause for a moment as to the REAL Meaning of Easter:  No one has to go to Hell!  Here’s how to avoid going there – how to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!
